What's New

Geographic Transformer contains the most powerful raster transformation tools available today allowing for higher order math transformation models, up to fifth order polynomial, for true warping and accurate reprojection. The Transformer also sits on GeoCalc.XML the world's largest, most reliable and accurate coordinate transformation datasource. The tool also has great batching capabilities for large transformation jobs. Transformer allows users to georeference images, reproject them, as well as tile and mosaick the data. The application allows you to reference an image from either an existing reference file, or by using our popular and user friendly “point-and-click” method with an already referenced image. The tool essentially sets up a relationship between known control points and the associated pixels values of your image. The Transformer also has great file format support and cutting edge compression capabilities. Transformer supports all the major GIS file formats including read and write of the three major compression formats ECW, JPG2000, and MrSID. You can save your work out in whatever file format you need as one image, a mosaic of images or smaller tiled pieces.

Featuring MrSID write! Still the only raster tool available on the market that allows read and write to all of the major compression formats. Includes 500MBs of MrSID write free with purchase of the Geographic Transformer 6.1!

Image data sources including scanned paper maps, aerial photos, and satellite imagery are now required components of digital mapping when reprojected as image maps for use as a background, or base map upon which other spatial data is overlaid. The Geographic Transformer allows you to easily establish an "image-to-world" relationship between image and map coordinates and reproject an image into a georeferenced image map. The tool has been in use since 1995 and was one of the first raster reprojection tools available.

MrSID Data Cartridge (100GB) for Geographic Transformer 5.2 Extend the annual encoding allotment of MrSID files you can create with the Geographic Transformer. When a user encodes any image format to MrSID image format that encoding counts towards the purchased allotment of data cartridge credits. Geographic Transformer comes with a 500MB encoding allotment data cartridge to get you started with your MrSID transformations. You can add more data cartridges as you need them to encode to MrSID format. Only the initial encoding of raw data such as TIFF or IMG images to MrSID image format counts toward the encoding allotment of the data cartridge. Once you have encoded your raw data to lossless MrSID (MG3) format, you can then perform a number of important tasks with your MrSID files without impacting your encoding allotment in the data cartridge.
